Moscow - Trubnaya Street

The Trubnaya street was called as Grachevkoj or Drachevkoj earlier. In 19 century this blighted area and taverns has got such scandalous popularity that nobody wished to lodge here. At the desire of local house owners in 1907 a part of lush institutions have closed, and to street and neighbouring lanes have given new names. Today Trumpet street actively reconstruct, but some old houses here still remained, for example, the house 29 in Gothic style and a small wooden small house 31 - with the satellite aerial on a roof.

The Trubnaya square, part of the Bulvarniy ring, the unique area of Moscow on which four parkways Petrovsky converge already, Rozhdestvenskiy, Cvetnoy and Neglinnoj (though last officially is called as street). It is named the has received on a drain — "pipe" in a wall of the White city through which flew the river of Neglinnaja to its conclusion in an underground collector.

Restaurant and hotel "Hermitage" based by French culinary specialist L.Olive (to it we are obliged by the main course of our celebratory table - "Olivier's" salad, it "Moscow", it "Capital", it "Celebratory" and so forth) and J.A.Pegovym's Moscow merchant. With 1864 was at the corner of street Neglinnoj and Petrovsky parkway (house 29/14, it is reconstructed for restaurant by architect M.N.Chichagovym). Further the hotel occupied also the next house on parkway. In April 1879 Muscovites celebrated in I.S.turgeneva's "Hermitage". In 1902 troupe MHT and M.Gorky marked here a premiere of performance "At the bottom". Traditionally in "Hermitage" students, graduates and teachers of university celebrated a student's holiday «Tatjanin day» — on January, 12th. In 1917 "Hermitage" has been closed. Nowadays in a building — theatre «School of the modern play».
